We are all deeply saddened by the news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, but also so immensely proud that for seventy years she served as our Royal Patron.
Queen Elizabeth was a dedicated supporter of nursing and she championed the profession for decades, highlighting the work carried out by nurses and demonstrating a clear interest in issues facing the workforce.
Many RCN members will remember meeting her as she spent time with nursing staff both in the UK and overseas.
Please share your message of condolence or your memories with us today.

I was honored with meeting the Queen when she attended Cotton Ward at the London Hospital in 1990. Having swum in a relay across the channel to raise money for the Children's Unit. A wonderful Patron.
