We are all deeply saddened by the news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, but also so immensely proud that for seventy years she served as our Royal Patron.
Queen Elizabeth was a dedicated supporter of nursing and she championed the profession for decades, highlighting the work carried out by nurses and demonstrating a clear interest in issues facing the workforce.
Many RCN members will remember meeting her as she spent time with nursing staff both in the UK and overseas.

My thoughts are with the Royal family as they come to terms with the lose of the Queen. We are all saddened by this lose, our Queen, our thoughts are now with the new King, King Charles 111.
I’m very saddened by the passing of our Queen Elizabeth II. Her support towards Nurses was greatly appreciated and she will be missed greatly.
